That’s the question PSB Insights and Leading Edge set out to answer with a groundbreaking study of workers outside the Jewish nonprofit sector. 

Survey responses from 3,350 people and 6 in-depth focus groups helped us understand how working in the Jewish nonprofit sector is perceived by:

Jewish talent (n = 1,500) — professionals across industries who self-identify as Jewish and do not yet work at a Jewish nonprofit organization

Non-Jewish talent (n = 1,500) — professionals across industries who do not self-identify as Jewish and do not yet work at a Jewish nonprofit organization 

Nonprofit Workers (n = 350) — professionals who do not self-identify as Jewish and work at a non-Jewish nonprofit organization

Surveys and focus groups were in the field between December 2024 and March 2025.
