Aviva Jacobs (Chief Impact Officer, Leading Edge) is a leader in philanthropy and education with over 20 years of experience supporting organizations through strategy, growth and change. She previously served as Director of U.S. Jewish Grantmaking at Schusterman Family Philanthropies, where she managed the Talent, Israel Education, and Inclusion and Belonging strategies, built out the team infrastructure, and oversaw a complex portfolio of grants, while working closely with partners across the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors.

For the first 15 years of her career, Aviva held senior roles at Teach For America, where she led teams focused on national recruitment and teacher development. She began her career as a special education teacher in New Orleans and Chicago, designing inclusive systems that helped students thrive.

Aviva holds a master’s degree from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan (where she played on the Women’s Soccer Team). She brings a practical, people-centered approach to leadership and is motivated by work that strengthens communities and expands opportunity.
